About the firm
A firm built on conviction, not convenience.
Founded in 1993, Nextlaw Practice has grown from a small Lagos partnership into one of West Africa's largest and most respected commercial law firms — without ever losing the personal accountability of its founders.

Our story
From a Lagos partnership to a continent-wide practice.
When the firm's founding partners opened the doors, the brief was simple: bring the rigour of international practice to Nigerian commercial law. Three decades later, that brief still shapes every matter we touch — from sovereign debt programmes to founder-led capital raises.
What we believe
World-class service is a discipline, not a slogan.
We measure ourselves by outcomes, not hours. That means partner-led teams, clear communication, and an unwavering commitment to ethical practice — even when the easy path is to look away.
Responsibility
Pro bono and CSR are core to who we are.
Our pro bono practice represents indigent defendants, civil society organisations, and public-interest causes. Through the Nextlaw Practice Foundation, we fund education and justice initiatives across Nigeria.
